ALDI Recall List 2026: Current Food and Product Notices

As of July 27, 2026, ALDI's official U.S. recall page lists two 2026 notices: Fusia Asian Inspirations Kimchi & Tofu Kimbap with an undeclared fish allergen, and Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs that may contain metal. Do not decide from the brand name alone. Match the package size, printed date, time code or establishment number, and the states or stores named in the official notice.

ALDI recalls in 2026 at a glance

The two notices involve different hazards and different identifiers. The Fusia notice is an FDA-posted company announcement for an undeclared allergen. The Bremer notice is a USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service recall for possible foreign material in a meat product.

Only packages within the stated scope are included. Other Fusia products, other Bremer products, and packages with different codes are not automatically part of these notices.

Fusia Kimchi & Tofu Kimbap recall

Gellert Global Group recalled ALDI Brand Fusia Asian Inspirations Kimchi & Tofu Kimbap because packages may contain tuna that is not declared on the label. The FDA-posted announcement says people with a fish allergy or severe sensitivity risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the affected product.

The company said a consumer discovered that a fish-containing product had been distributed in packaging that did not disclose fish. It attributed the problem to a temporary breakdown in production and packaging procedures. No illnesses had been reported when the July 2 announcement was published.

How to match the affected package

Check all of the following details. The FDA and ALDI notices do not provide a UPC or separate lot number, so do not substitute a code from an online product listing.

• Package: 8.1 oz sealed, microwave-safe plastic wrapper

A similar kimbap flavor, another package size or an item purchased outside the stated distribution is not a match based on this notice alone. If the label is missing or unreadable, contact Gellert Global Group or ALDI rather than guessing.

What consumers should do

Do not eat an exact-match package. The FDA-posted announcement tells purchasers to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. The ALDI notice says to discard the product immediately or return it to a local store for a full refund.

Bremer Italian Style Meatballs recall

Rosina Food Products recalled approximately 9,462 pounds of fully cooked, frozen Bremer meatballs that may contain foreign material, specifically metal. The products were produced July 30, 2025 and shipped to ALDI supermarket locations. USDA FSIS said the issue was discovered after it received a consumer complaint about metal in the product.

No confirmed injuries had been reported when FSIS announced the recall. Because frozen products can remain at home for months, check the back of every retained Bremer Family Size bag rather than relying on the purchase date.

How to match the best-by date, time and establishment number

The affected product must match the complete identifier set in the USDA FSIS recall release:

1. A 32 oz printed poly film bag of fully cooked frozen Bremer FAMILY SIZE ITALIAN STYLE MEATBALLS, described as containing about 64 meatballs.
2. A BEST BY 10/30/26 date on the back.
3. A timestamp from 17:08 through 18:20.
4. Establishment number EST. 4286B inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The best-by date alone is not enough. A bag with the date but a time outside the stated window, a different establishment number or a different size does not match the scope described by this recall.

What consumers should do

Do not consume an exact-match bag. FSIS says to throw it away or return it to the place of purchase. ALDI's retailer notice says consumers may discard it immediately or return it to a local store for a full refund. Follow the official notice rather than attempting to inspect the meatballs for visible fragments.

Is there an ALDI cheese recall in 2026?

ALDI's official 2026 section did not list a cheese recall when checked on July 27, 2026. Searches for an ?ALDI cheese recall 2026? often surface a Great Lakes Cheese recall involving Happy Farms products because some affected packages carried sell-by dates in February or March 2026. That recall was initiated in October 2025 and classified by FDA in 2025; a 2026 sell-by date does not make it a newly announced 2026 recall.

This distinction matters when checking an older bag. Do not assume that all Happy Farms cheese is affected, and do not assume that the absence of cheese from ALDI's 2026 heading clears an older retained package. Use the ALDI archive and FDA's Enforcement Reports, then compare the exact product, UPC, batch and sell-by date supplied in the record.

How to check an ALDI product that is not in this list

Start with the product package, not a social post or a photo of a shelf sign. Photograph the front label, back label, barcode, date code and any USDA establishment mark. Also keep the receipt or order record if available. Private-label notices may be indexed under the supplier's name as well as the ALDI-facing brand.

Use the correct federal agency

FoodSafety.gov also links the FDA and USDA food systems and emphasizes that every relevant detail must match. A recall for one category is not evidence that unrelated ALDI products are affected.

Search by identifiers, not just the ALDI brand

Try the product name, supplier, model or item number, UPC, lot or batch, printed date and establishment number. If a search returns a possible notice, open the full agency record and compare its photos, distribution and code range. Do not act on a search-result snippet when the underlying notice says something narrower.

What to do with food after a recall

For either current ALDI recall, set the exact-match item aside where no one will eat it and follow the notice's return or disposal instruction. Save a photo of the package and identifiers first if you may need them for a question or refund.

Cleanup depends on the hazard. The Fusia issue is an undeclared allergen, so wash any dishes, utensils and surfaces that contacted the food with soap and water, especially where someone with a fish allergy could be exposed. If a future notice involves a germ, FoodSafety.gov recommends washing cookware, counters, refrigerator drawers and shelves with hot soapy water and following its sanitizing directions.
