Walmart Recall List 2026: Food, Great Value and Product Recalls

Updated July 27, 2026: Walmart shoppers should currently check Marketside iceberg lettuce dated through August 3, selected MorningStar Farms products dated July 2027, Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread dated in 2027, a Pearl Milling pancake mix sold in Puerto Rico, and specified Great Value Chicken Bacon Ranch frozen-pizza lots. These are product-specific actions; they do not apply to every Walmart, Marketside, or Great Value item.

Open Walmart’s official Product Recalls page, then follow its link to the original regulator or manufacturer notice. Match the name, size, UPC, lot or plant code, date, and purchase location. Walmart says its page is not all-inclusive, so a missing retailer result does not establish that an item is safe.

Walmart recall list: products to check now

The first table prioritizes foods that may still be in a refrigerator, freezer, or pantry because the notice is ongoing or the package dates extend beyond this update. “Current relevance” does not mean the recall was announced today.

Marketside lettuce recall at Walmart

The most recent Walmart-linked food action in this guide is the Taylor Fresh Foods iceberg-lettuce recall announced July 17. FDA identifies two retail descriptions: Marketside Iceberg Salad, 12 oz or 24 oz, with Best if Used By dates from 7/18/2026 through 8/3/2026; and Marketside Shredded Lettuce, 8 oz or 16 oz, with dates from July 18 through August 3, 2026.

FDA lists selected Walmart stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. The current notice does not publish a retail UPC, so do not borrow a UPC from an older Marketside lettuce recall. Match the product description, package size, date, and purchase state against the FDA outbreak advisory.

The recall concerns possible Cyclospora contamination, and FDA’s investigation remains ongoing. A false-positive border sample reported during the investigation did not cancel the recall; FDA says epidemiological and traceback data continue to support it. Consumers should discard matching lettuce immediately, not consume it, and clean surfaces or containers that it touched. Full refunds are available at the location of purchase.

Other Walmart food recalls with dates extending into 2027

MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chik’n Nuggets and sausage patties

Walmart’s food-recall page lists a June 22 notice for two MorningStar Farms products. The Buffalo Chik’n Nuggets are 10.5 oz, UPC 000 28989 10110 5, with Better if Used Before dates July 7 or July 8, 2027. The Hot & Spicy Sausage Patties are 8 oz, UPC 000 28989 10094 8, with dates July 5, 6, or 7, 2027.

The company recalled the products because they may contain plastic pieces. No other MorningStar Farms products are included. The FDA-posted MorningStar announcement tells purchasers to discard affected product and contact Consumer Affairs for a full refund.

Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread

Champion Foods recalled certain batches of Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread after a dry-milk ingredient was recalled for possible Salmonella. The single pack has UPC 8 70375 00511 1; its listed sell-by dates range from February 4 through April 21, 2027. The two pack has UPC 8 70375 00509 8, with listed sell-by dates from February 3 through March 25, 2027.

These products were sold nationwide by multiple retailers, including Walmart. The date list is not continuous: only the dates printed in the official FDA notice are included. Champion Foods reported no illness or injury related to the products as of the notice and asks consumers to contact the company for more information; the notice does not promise a universal retailer refund.

Pearl Milling pancake mix sold in Puerto Rico

Ballester Hermanos recalled 5.99-oz pouches of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffles Complete because the label said “may contain milk and soy” instead of declaring that the product contains those allergens. The action applies to different retailers in Puerto Rico, including selected Walmart stores, not the mainland United States as a whole.

The affected lot codes are 23A26C6, 24A26A7, 24A26B2, 24A26B5, 24A26C6, 23A26B5, 24A26A6, 25B26C13, 25B26A14, 25B26B4, 25B26A15, and 25B26B1, paired to the January 23, January 24, or February 25, 2027 date rows in the notice. Because the pairings matter, compare your pouch directly with the FDA product table. The company says not to consume a matching pouch and to return it to the original place of purchase.

Great Value recall list for 2026

Great Value is Walmart’s large private-label range, not one product made by one supplier. A recall involving one UPC or one supplier does not affect unrelated Great Value foods. The status distinctions below matter just as much as the product names.

Great Value Chicken Bacon Ranch frozen pizzas

USDA FSIS issued a public health alert on April 30 for meat and poultry products made with FDA-regulated dairy ingredients that might contain Salmonella, then updated the product information through May 15. Walmart links the alert from its own recall page.

The Great Value rows include Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch with lot codes WC103203 and WC103803, plus Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch with lot codes WC104173, WC104065, WC103793, and WJ100977. The Great Value products were distributed nationwide. Compare the product style, package label, lot code, and establishment details with the current USDA FSIS public health alert.

FSIS reported no confirmed adverse reactions at the time of the notice. It instructs consumers not to eat listed products and to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. This is formally a public health alert rather than a claim that all Great Value pizza is recalled.

Great Value cottage cheese was a February recall

Saputo USA’s February 24 recall covered selected Great Value cottage cheese because some dairy ingredients might not have been fully pasteurized. By July 27, all affected Best if Used By dates—April 1 through April 3, 2026—have passed. This belongs in the 2026 history, but it is not a new or open-ended warning about current cottage cheese.

The recalled rows required plant code 06-71 plus one of these combinations:

• Fat Free Small Curd, 24 oz, UPC 078742373393, dated April 1 or April 3.
• Lowfat Small Curd, 24 oz, UPC 078742116730, dated April 1, 2, or 3.
• Small Curd 4%: 16 oz UPC 078742372358; 24 oz UPC 078742372365; or 3 lb UPC 078742147970, with the exact April dates in the notice.

FDA stressed that all fields and the listed purchase geography had to match. Review the corrected cottage-cheese announcement for the full state list and date pairing.

Great Value Hawaiian rolls did not reach shoppers

An FDA enforcement record classified a distribution-level action involving 4.5-oz four-packs of Great Value Hawaiian Rolls after an oily and sticky substance was observed on food-contact packaging. The record said all affected product remained at wholesale distribution centers, was accounted for, and was never sold in stores or available for consumer purchase. It should not be presented as a product that Walmart shoppers need to search for at home.

The Great Value dino nugget alert was retracted

Several search results still say a 36-oz bag of Great Value Fully Cooked Dino Shaped Chicken Breast Nuggets was under a lead-related alert. USDA FSIS issued that public health alert on April 1, then retracted it on April 7, 2026 after receiving an updated laboratory result.

The official FSIS retraction says the product does not pose a public health concern. Therefore lot 0416DPO1215, best-if-used-by February 10, 2027, and establishment P44164 should not appear in an active recall table. This is an example of why the latest agency update matters more than an older headline.

How to check a Walmart purchase safely

1. Type corporate.walmart.com/recalls into your browser or use a saved official link. Walmart says it does not send product-recall text messages.
2. Choose Food Recalls, Pharmacy/OTC Drug Recalls, or Product Recalls.
3. Open the linked FDA, USDA FSIS, CPSC, manufacturer, or supplier notice.
4. Match the exact name, size, UPC, lot/date/plant code, and state or channel.
5. Follow only the remedy in that notice. It may be discard, return, refund, repair, replacement, or company contact.

Are all Great Value foods affected by a Great Value recall?

No. The private label covers many unrelated products and suppliers. Only the exact UPC, package, code, date, and location defined in a notice are included.

Can Walmart refund every recalled product?

Do not assume one policy applies to every event. Some notices expressly offer a full refund at the store, while others direct consumers to discard the item, contact the manufacturer, obtain a repair, or follow another remedy.

Why is a product in an old article but not this active list?

Its dates may have expired, it may never have reached retail, or the agency may have retracted the alert. This article retains those corrections so older search results do not create a false current warning.
